WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40) SN 79239. Standard grade rifle with 24” oct bbl, full magazine, half-nickel front sight and a replacement semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent buttplate. The magazine tube has a heavy rust cake between it and the bbl near the muzzle. CONDITION: About good. Retains an overall blue/brown patina with some heavy pitting near the muzzle. Receiver has some light to moderate pitting, scattered in various places. Wood is sound with the stock retaining about 50% original varnish and the forearm has no original finish. Mechanics are fine. Strong bright bore with a few spots of pitting. Would make an excellent cowboy action shooter. 4-52261 JR97 (600-1,000)
