FINE AESTHETIC MOVEMENT INLAID AND CARVED WALNUT AND BIRDSEYE MAPLE PORTFOLIO STAND, HERTER BROTHERS, NEW YORK. Of rectangular form, with three-quarter gallery, the front with a recessed rectangular panel, carved with a stylized sunflower flanked by birdseye maple panels, inlaid with berry sprigs, raised on angular bracket supports, the sides carved with sunflowers. The hinged paneled back with central inlaid sunflower stalk opening to a compartment for folios, the whole raised on casters. SIZE: 26” h x 28-3/4”w x 15-1/4” d. CONDITION: Retains original surface with very good patina, inlays intact, minor staining along top. 9-74532 MD (7,000-10,000)
