LIONEL STANDARD GAUGE #10 INTERURBAN AND COMPANION TRAILER CAR NONPOWER #1010. Car #1010 is an interurban trailer car. Car #10 is powered, has a dark green/olive color, dark patina over car, couple dents in roof, pedestal headlight on roof with flat bulb, embossed on bottom Lionel Manufacturing Company N.Y. One air tank rod is loose and motor will have to be rewired. Short hook crinkle coupler on each end. Above window is printed New York Central Lines, very faint on both sides. Car #10 and interurban show up very nicely, also has knurled knob on one end used to wire run lighting into the trailer car. The underbody to Car #10 is olive green. Some window celluloid’s are loose, some surface wear, maroon gold-stepped. The paint is dull but most of it is there, car looks very nice. Trucks have some surface rust on them but will clean up. Some alligatoring along edge of roof and minor chips. Trailer car is a lighter dark olive with lots of chips and scratches on frame, roof edges and on roof, not same condition as powered car. Overall this car gives a very nice appearance. Car #1010 has a maroon base, flat maroon paint and is marked Lionel Manufacturing Company N.Y. Pedestal headlight missing on trailer. End of car needs a little body work. CONDITION: Fine to very fine condition for its age. Fair to good. EC 1-4341 (2,500-3,300)
