LOT OF 10 U.S. BAYONETS. 1) Krag Model 1892 Bayonet. Dated 1894 with Model 1892 scabbard. Fine to excellent with bright blade. 2) Krag Model 1892 Bayonet. Dated 1895 with Model 1898 scabbard. Very fine with bright blade and hilt, slight wear to scabbard. 3) Krag Model 1898 Bayonet with blue blade. Dated 1901 with 1898 scabbard. Fine with slight scuffing to the scabbard. 4) Krag Model 1898 Bayonet. Dated 1903 with wide loop scabbard. Excellent blade and hilt, some scuffing and pitting on the scabbard. 5) Springfield Armory. Model 1905 Bayonet. SN 72565. Dated 1906. This has been altered to the 1908 type with the roughened scales. The catch button is on the bottom of the grip and engages a hook on the iron throat of the leather scabbard. The upper portion of the blade is polished to white, while the lower ricasso retains the blue. There are some nicks in the edge of the blade. The hilt is fine. The scabbard has considerable scratching. The throat and wide belt loop are worn. 6) Springfield Armory Model 1905 Bayonet. SN 835456. Dated 1918. In canvas scabbard with metal throat and leather tip dated 1917. Blade and hilt are fine. The scabbard is somewhat soiled. 7) Springfield Armory Model 1905 Bayonet. SN 595747. Dated 1914, with “O” and “K” stamps on either side of the ordnance bomb. In canvas scabbard with metal throat and undated leather tip. Bright blade with blue on the ricasso with minor pitting and notches. The hilt has a brown patina. The scabbard is slightly soiled. 8) U.F.H. Model 1905 Bayonet. Dated 1942. Black plastic scales, metal throat, green plasticized scabbard. Reblued blade. Rust/brown patina on hilt. Slight wear on scabbard. 9) AFH Model 1905 Bayonet. Dated 1942. Metal throat on green plasticized scabbard. Light pitting overall with traces of finish on the ricasso. The brown plastic scales have some minor chips and bruises. The scabbard shows wear at the tip. 10) Springfield Armory Model 1905 Bayonet without scabbard. SN 875852. Dated 1916. Very heavy pitting with losses to the edges.
