SPRINGFIELD TRAPDOOR SPADE BAYONET WITH SCABBARD. 10” blade. 3-1/2” wide. Marked “PAT APR. 16TH72” on the socket. The leather scabbard has no visible markings. CONDITION: Blade is bright. Blue on the hilt is mixed with light surface rust and pitting. Scabbard is stained. Belt loop is cracked and frayed. Brass tip has a very dark patina. Lock is currently frozen in place. Wm.
