MINIATURE ENAMELED CARRIAGE CLOCK. Exceptional miniature carriage clock has white porcelain dial surrounded by an enamel night sky of deep blue with gold stars. Below the dial is a beautifully enameled maiden in flowing gown reclining in a crescent moon. Each side of the clock is enameled with the same blue background and depicts a maiden holding a stringed instrument and standing on a crescent moon. The door in the back is enameled with a nighttime sky, gold stars and ringed planet above a snowy mountain foreground. Face is marked “Henry Capt Geneve”. SIZE: 2-1/2” t x 1-1/2” w. CONDITION: Some minor discoloration at very edges of enameling. The works appear to have some minor corrosion and a small hairline to one side panel. 5-71707 (2,500-3,500)
