BERNICE ABBOTT (American, 1898-1991) BEANE’S GENERAL STORE, MOSCOW, MAINE. Unsigned vintage photograph shows the General Store in Moscow, Maine with gas pump, ice chest and phone booth. Housed in a black wood frame. Renowned photographer was Man Ray’s assistant in Paris and photographed scenes in Maine in the 1960’s. PROVENANCE: Given to consignor directly from the artist in 1984. SIGHT SIZE: 14-1/2” x 18-3/4”. CONDITION: Some glue to very edges, scratches with one half moon shaped break above building. Otherwise good, photograph has been laid onto white cardboard. 9-28106 (500-1000)
