WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 RF Henry. SN 37746. Standard grade rifle with 24 1/4” oct bbl, full magazine, modified front sight, and replacement fixed rear sight. It has uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent brass buttplate with trap. The stock and forend cap are fitted with factory swing swivels. The bbl has Winchester and King’s patent markings. CONDITION: Good. No original finish remains with the iron being a dark brown patina mixed with scattered cleaned spots on the bbl. Front receiver ring has a groove filed in the top and the brass has the remains of very dark patina in sheltered areas with the balance having been cleaned. Stock has a small chip at the receiver, otherwise the wood is sound with dark oil stained finish. Mechanics are fine, strong bore with good shine and moderate to heavy pitting. 4-51390 JR46 (1,500-2,500)
