RARE BRUNO SCHMIDT CHARACTER “WENDY”. 1910 character doll with the head incised “2033 BSW (within a heart) 537”. This rare character has blue glass set eyes (appears to be original setting), well painted upper and lower lashes and feathered eyebrows, pierced ears, upturned nose, and full closed pouty mouth on original pink fully jointed wooden composition body. She’s been redressed in a period cream silk dress with a pink satin sash, antique underwear, stockings, and brown leather shoes, antique (probably original) auburn mohair wig. SIZE: 13-1/2″ (34cm). CONDITION: Good quality bisque with even facial coloring. Old hairline in back of head running length of head, body finish very good in original condition. 1-7831 (3,500-5,500)
