*PRE-WAR COLT ACE 1ST YEAR PRODUCTION SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. SN 2020. Blue finish with 4-3/4” bbl, replacement micro-adjustable rear sight & thick front sight. It has a checkered trigger. Fitted with full checkered, brown plastic grips with small donuts & interior reinforcement. Right side of slide has usual Colt with “ACE” in a diamond marking. It has one solid blue magazine with “SERVICE MODEL ACE” markings on base plate. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine, sights as noted. Slide retains 96-97% glossy orig charcoal blue with slight muzzle edge wear & a few scattered minor scratches. Frame retains about 98% glossy orig. charcoal/blue with slight thinning on front strap. Recoil spring has been shortened & several layers of leather added as spacers to spring guide. Grips show extremely minor wear. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore.
