*LOT OF 2 JAPANESE WWII RIFLES. 1) Type 99. Cal. 7.7 Jap. SN 91424. Standard rifle with 26” bbl, protected front sight, ladder rear sight with anti-aircraft wings, monopod, sling swivels and dust cover. The mum has been ground. CONDITION: Fine, as noted. All matching. Metal retains 75 – 80% dull blue with fine surface rust. Stock is nicked and dinged and retains generous amounts of original finish. Handguard has been cleaned. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bore. 2) Type 38. Cal. 6.5 Jap. SN 82307. Standard rifle with 32” bbl, protected front sight, ladder rear sight and sling swivels. The mum has been ground. CONDITION: Fine. All matching. Retains 75 – 80% strong original blue with light to moderate surface rust, heavier pitting on back of receiver and bolt knob, also on the trigger guard and floorplate. Wood is sound with numerous nicks and dings and a gouge or two with a hairline at the tip of the forestock. Good mechanics, strong bore, dark in the grooves. 4-52346 JR149 (250-500)
