11″ CYLINDER EXCELSIOR MUSIC BOX WITH SIX BELLS. Inlaid case with ebony trim. Music box features zither attachment and six bells with butterfly strikers. Bells are held on with little flowers. Plays eight tunes. SIZE: 10-1/2″ t x 22″ w x 12-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Case is nice and solid with inlay on top needing some repairs. Approx. 1/3 of floral inlay in center is missing. String inlay in borders is mostly complete. Inlay in front appears complete. Tune card listing 8 tunes has slight damage to top and corners. Lid lock is missing and top quarter of key escutcheon is broken and missing. Mechanism is beautifully restored by Charles Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky and has beautiful rich tone. 1-5883 EO (1,800-2,300)
