*SCARCE REMINGTON UMC MODEL 1911 MILITARY PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACP. SN 888. Usual configuration with 5” bbl, orig fixed sights & large diamond checkered walnut grips. It has “E.E.C.” inspector initials & eagle head / “E1” marking on left side of frame. Left front side of frame has “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” & it has large size serial numbers. Left side slide has REMINGTON / UMC” logo in a circle along with patent dates & company information. Right side of slide is marked “MODEL OF 1911 / U.S. ARMY CALIBER 45”. Accompanied by a military 2-tone magazine. Bbl is a WWII replacement High Standard with “HS” on right side of lug and a “P” on left side. CONDITION: Very fine, as restored. Retains virtually all of a fine professionally restored finish to near orig colors. Some of lettering is slightly thinned. Grips show moderate to heavy wear with a few chipped diamonds.
