*SINGER MODEL 1911 A1. Cal. 45ACP. SN S800347. This example of the ultra rare Singer mod. 1911 A1 WWII 45 auto has been expertly restored, but none the less is a Singer. It is correct in all aspects with the exception of having been refinished (finish is as close as you could hope to get to original) and has replacement bbl being a high standard. CONDITION: Complete gun has been expertly restored to new with all edges being sharp with very minimum wear around the very edge of the muzzle and just a slight bit at the tail end of the grip safety from being handled. The Keyes grips show excellent to match the rest of the gun. The SN and roll-by assembly on the right side of the gun is orig although high spots of metal disbursement were slightly polished during restoration, but all writing is vivid and 100% original. On the left hand side, the “JKC” inspection stamp has been redone, but under a microscope you can see that there was an orig “JKC” underneath it. The bbl is a replacement high standard and I assume was replaced during restoration as there are virtually no Singer bbls available for a restoration. It is my opinion that this is a fine orig gun except where noted above and would be a fine addition to any collection considering there were only 500 made and 25-40 still in existence. 4-58346 BK82 (10,000-20,000)
