*WINCHESTER AMERICAN HISTORICAL FOUNDATION MAINE 50 STATES COMMEMORATIVE LEVER ACTION CARBINE. Cal. 30-30. SN 6432240 & ME003. Standard angle eject Winchester carbine with 20” rnd bbl, full magazine, ramp front sight missing hood & open rear sight. Mounted with uncheckered, straight grain walnut with straight stock & Winchester embossed black composition buttplate. Receiver, bbl, magazine tube & lever are high polish, bright blue, while bbl bands, magazine plug, trigger & hammer are gold plated. Receiver has full coverage etch engraving on sides with right side inscribed on gold ribbons “MAINE LIMITED EDITION / 1820 / THE ‘PINE TREE STATE’”. It has a gold line border with three stars and outline of State of Maine. Left side has identical gold line border with “ONE OF ONE HUNDRED” also with three stars. Top of bolt has “ME003” in gold. Left side of buttstock has a large 2-layered cloisonné medallion with outer ring having gold edges with thirteen gold stars and the inner ring the seal of The State of Maine in full color. Lever is strapped with a black plastic bundle tie & it has orig hang tag. Accompanied by its orig, glass top, maroon velvet lined, walnut case with a recessed plaque in bottom. Also accompanied by a American Historical Foundation booklet, orig owner’s manual, warranty card & other papers. Case measures 44” x 12-1/2” x 3-1/2”. CONDITION: Pristine new, unfired. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood. Case is equally new. 4-58221 (1,500-1,750)
