*SPRINGFIELD M1 GARAND.

*SPRINGFIELD M1 GARAND. Cal. 30. SN 3662997. 24” bbl. This rifle was at one time an M1-C or MC-52 sniper rifle and would make an excellent candidate for a restoration to that configuration. Scope mount holes (5) have been expertly plugged by an armory. Rifle has “SA-52” stamped on flat just behind rear sight. Also rifle has correct “12-52” bbl for being an MC-52 sniper. CONDITION: Receiver & bbl retain 85-90% of orig Parkerizing. Wood is in good shape with minor scuffs & dings and a cartouche present which reads “RIA” over “FK” in a rectangular box. Gas cylinder/front of sight assembly retains 90% of their finish although it is a narrow based gas cylinder. Rear sight assembly is a post-war replacement (probably done at time of re-build). Revision “9” op-rod has excellent orig finish although field modified. Mechanics are excellent. Bore, although slightly dark, is excellent. 4-58235 BK2 (2,500-4,500)
