#55 CARPENTER FIRE PATROL. Red wagon embossed “fire patrol” on both sides and 55 under the seat. Three original passengers and original driver enameled in blue coats, black fire helmets, flesh tone faces and hands. Has both original wooden barrels, yellow enamel wheels and yoke supporting black and white enameled horses with gold trappings. When toy is pulled, erratic wheel under horses makes for realistic galloping movement. Very unusual to find this early Carpenter toy with original figures and barrels. SIZE: 16” l. CONDITION: Wear to horses and yoke, but for these early Carpenter toys, this is in exceptional condition. MC 1-3986 (2,500-3,500)
