*WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 70 SUPER GRADE RIFLE. Cal. 30 Gov’t 06 (30-06). SN 33479. Beautiful pre-war rifle with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, ramp front sight with hood, slot blank in the rear seat and a Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight. It has very nicely figured 1-pc. walnut stock with black forend tip, diamond checkered forestock with capped pistol grip and checkered steel buttplate. The floorplate is marked “-SUPER GRADE-“. The rear receiver bridge is not drilled and tapped. The stock has an oval initial plate on the bottom with the engraved initials “JAH”. It has deluxe sling swivel bases. The bolt, follower and rails are jeweled. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, possibly unfired, retaining virtually all of its original factory finish to both metal and wood with only very minor handling and storage marks on the wood.
