*SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1922 MII. Cal. 22. SN 10861B. This example of a “1926” dated rifle is an update from the MI to the MII configuration. This is equipped with “Demming” type pistol grip stock. Rifle is in overall very good condition being mechanically sound with an excellent bore and type-3, M2 bolt that is numbered to the gun. CONDITION: Complete barreled action, including sight and bands, retain a dark grey, almost black, Parkerizing that shows to be better than 95% throughout. Sight cover is still intact and the Lyman type 48 sight shows about 98% of the orig blue with just minor scratches on the bolt side. Trigger guard and floorplate assembly as new parkerized configuration. Buttstock shows to be in very good condition with an “SA” in a box on the left cheek piece and with an arsenal mark of “AAZ” on the left hand side just below the cocking piece. Finger grooves are very sharp and defined, and there is a very minimum of scarring on the buttstock with the prominent being on the left side on the magazine catch. Though not deep, the stain is scratched in a few places. Rifle retains a WWI sling that is dated “1918” and is dry, but otherwise in good condition. Edwards Collection 4-58530 BK36 (750-1,250)
