TOBACCO SHOP TRADE SIGN. Painted steel sign of a young native boy smoking long clay pipe and wearing a red and green tobacco leaf skirt. Other hand resting on a barrel. Decorated on both sides with a double fastening strap. The older outstanding S-scroll bracket has cast rosettes and central gilt element with leaf and profile head design. The end of the bracket with three scrolled hooks, the painted figure attaches to top of S. SIZE: 47-1/2” l. Painted figure is 18-3/4” h. CONDITION: Some repairs to bracket and some chipping paint loss but generally very good. 9-26141 (750-1,500)
