*SCARCE DAVID MILLER CUSTOM BIG GAME RIFLE. Cal. 404 Jeffry. SN 40365. Spectacular Miller , arguably the finest rifle maker in the world, dangerous game rifle built on a Mauser action with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, custom pedestal front sight with day & night beads and a 3-leaf platinum line express rear sight. The receiver has a matted panel on both front and rear rings and the bolt knob has raised 4-panel checkering with the bolt body jeweled. It is mounted in a beautifully grained honey & chocolate 1-piece French walnut stock with extensively checkered forestock, about 24-lines per inch with wrap around checkered wrist and a smooth steel grip cap having silver initial inlays “JD”. The butt stock has a classic European style cheekpiece and it has safari style sling eyes. The length of pull is 14″ over its original solid red Pachmayr pad. CONDITION: Very fine plus, the bbl & receiver retain 96-97% strong original satin matte finish. The custom floor plate & trigger guard retain about 90% original satin matte finish with moderate wear on the front edge of the floor plate. The stock is sound with minor handling & use nicks & scratches and retains most of its original fine custom oil finish.
