*SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1922 M2. Cal. 22. SN 11308. This is a nice orig finish rifle with bbl date of “8-37” that appears to be a military issue because it has a horseshoe box with “SA” over “O” stamped in the stock. The only thing that appears to be possibly unoriginal is that it has an adjustable insert in the Lyman 48 rear sight and a small brass shim ,between the bbl and the wood, at the very front of the wood.. It is a nice very pleasing gun. CONDITION: Receiver & bbl assembly retain approx. 90% of orig finish with very minor surface rust area just under the SN on the receiver. Parkerizing on bottom of bbl, just below the wood, shows slight wear possibly from being bench rested. Trigger guard assembly shows 95-98% of orig Parkerizing as does the no trap buttplate. Bbl band shows very minor pitting but retains better than 90% of its parkerized finish. Stock is in excellent condition with just a couple of very minor dings that do not detract from its looks whatsoever. Bore and mechanics are fine. 4-58253 BK29 (750-1,300)
