SCARCE EARLY COLT DA LIGHTNING SHERIFF’S MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Colt. SN 1393. Nickel finish with 3-1/2″ bbl, original front sight, 2-line address, etched panel on the left side, made without ejector rod. It has 3-line patent address on the left side of the frame and large size serial numbers. It is also fitted with the very rare 1-piece checkered rosewood grips. CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains virtually all of its original nickel plating with one small flaked spot on the loading gate. The trigger retains most of its original niter blue, dull on the front edge. The hammer is a gray patina. Mechanics are crisp, strong bright bore with scattered pitting.
