*REMINGTON 03A4 SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 30. SN 3414153. This Remington sniper rifle is in good condition having been re-stocked and had the scope refinished. It is however an orig 03A4 sniper rifle CONDITION: Receiver retains approx. 85% of the green Parkerizing with no corrosion present. Bolt is blued Remington with the swept handle as is correct for this model. Redfield scope base retains about 75% of its grey Parkerizing, though beginning to fade. Front scope ring is green parkerized while rear is blue. Scope is refinished a dark-grey Parkerizing, I presume was done by the Govt., because if sent to Weaver, they would have blued it, but has just about perfect optics, with no clouding or debris. “9-43” dated bbl shows approx. 70% of the orig grey Parkerizing with a very good 4-groove bore. The trigger housing and floorplate are Smith-Corona replacements and retain about 95% of the orig grey Parkerizing, with the screws being blued. Buttstock is a C-type stock that is pretty well brand new with no evident mars or dings at all, and no cartouche is present. Upper hand guard is in good condition with 2 or 3 dings in it, the largest being approx. 1” x 1/4” between middle and front bbl bands. Rifle is equipped with a “1943” dated leather sling that is in just about brand new condition though a little dry. Buttplate is Remington 03A3 parkerized and retains about 95% of its orig finish with the screws being blued. Mechanics are excellent. 4-58734 BK71 (2,500-3,300)
