POLYPHON UPRIGHT MUSIC BOX WITH BELLS. Upright table top music box with walnut veneer, burl and inlay. Cornice is inlaid with “Polyphon” and flowers. Front door has burl walnut and glass and cutout filigree to view interior. Raised on four legs. Two front legs are turned and carved. The interior music box is a single comb mechanism with twelve nickel plated bells and plays 17-1/2″ discs, of which 14 are included. SIZE: 32″ t x 23″ w x 11″ d. CONDITION: Overall very good. Slight veneer chip to back. Small piece of carving loose on top and retains original crank and key for lock. Interior very good. There is a shut off for the bells. Brilliant tone, works have been restored by Charles Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky. 1-5884 EO (3,500-4,500)
