JOHN TERELAK (American, 1942-) “MONHEGAN MIST”. Fine oil on masonite scene shows a fisherman’s house with lobster traps piled and lobsterman standing beside home. His boat is seen amongst fog. Signed and titled on reverse. Housed in a modern decorated gold frame with darker liner. NOTE: Our consignor informs us that Terelak indicated to him (our consignor) orally in July 2007 that he painted this work while on Monhegan Island in the early 1970’s, near “the shacks, where the lobstermen stored their gear and that is shows Manana Island in the background.
