COLT 3-1/2″ POCKET NAVY CONVERSION.

COLT 3-1/2″ POCKET NAVY CONVERSION. Cal. 38 CF. SN 328453. Nickel finish with 3-1/2″ rnd bbl, made without ejector or rammer cut outs with cone shaped front sight. It has a rebated cylinder with stagecoach holdup scene and 1-piece ivory grips. The serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and back strap are accompanied by the letters “IP” indicating ivory stocks and plating. CONDITION: Very fine. All matching, except the wedge, which is unnumbered, but probably original to this revolver as it retains most of its original nickel plating. Wedge screw is a replacement. Overall retains about 90% strong bright original nickel with a few flaked spots that have turned to dark patina with light pitting. Light bruises by the wedge slot. Frame and grip frame are fine with light wear on the conversion ring. Cylinder retains strong nickel on the front and back edges with the outside perimeter cleaned to a silver/gray metal color with scattered spots of light pitting and retains 60-70% thin original stagecoach holdup scene. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with a few scattered spots of light rust near the cylinder end. 4-53581 JR969 (2,000-3,000)
