*LOT OF TWO SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1903 RIFLES. Cal. 30-06. 1) SN 830173. Very end of the war 1903 Springfield in very good condition. Mechanically very sound with an excellent bbl that is dated “3-18”. CONDITION: Metal is re-parkerized with bbl receiver & band assemblies retaining 98% of finish. Trigger guard & floorplate assembly retain approx. 85% finish. Buttplate is a Remington 03 A3 checkered buttplate. Stock is a C-stock with a “P” with a box around it designating an arsenal replacement with a stamp on right side of “C-8AA” designating the arsenal where rebuilt. Rifle is overall excellent condition and a good example of a WWII rebuild of a 1st World War rifle. 2) SN 1287524. This is a 1903 Springfield that has been sporterized. Rifle has had a Lyman 48 receiver sight mounted to it and is mounted in a 1922 M2 stock with a drawing board number on it. It also has a 1922 front bbl band so as to resemble an NRA sporter. It also has a Springfield “8-44” replacement bbl. CONDITION: Receiver is in excellent plus condition retaining nearly all of its blue. Bolt is an 03A1, which is swept back and blued with the extractor being polished. Bbl & front band assembly as well as trigger guard assembly retain 98% of orig Parkerized finish and buttplate is a fine checkered National Match type with virtually all of its finish. Bore has very strong rifling and is fairly bright but should clean to near new. Rifle is mechanically excellent. 4-58242 BK11 (1,500-2,500)
