UNIDENTIFIED BELGIAN SHOTGUN. SN 344. 20 ga. 27-5/8” ribbed bbls with Belgian proof marks and “crown / CP” maker’s mark on the bottom. The locks, triggerguard, buttplate and tailpipe have minimal engraving. There is a packet of material concerning a soldier, David Fulmer, accompanying this gun. The gun was purchased from the descendents of a David Fuller who was an engineer of the ship that took U. S. Grant around the world after the Civil War closed. CONDITION: Smooth brown patina overall with scattered light pitting. Stock has normal dents and scratches. Mechanically fine. 4-59443 FS666 (800-1,200)
