WINCHESTER HI-WALL WITH BRITISH PROOFMARKS. SN 10249. Cal. 22 WCF. No. 1 weight. 26″ rnd bbl, gold-wash combination front sight, serrated side sporting rear, fine knurled post tang-mounted sight. Left side of bbl, receiver & breechblock are stamped with British proofs. Mounted with select straight grain walnut, uncheckered straight grip stock, smooth steel shotgun butt, Schnable forend with ebony tip insert. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 85-90% orig blue with a couple of small areas of cleaned surface oxidation & a few minor nicks & scratches. Receiver has 95% orig case colors, including some lacquer coating in protected areas, some minor flecks of surface oxidation & wear to sharp edges. Stock is sound with a few minor nicks & scratches, retaining most of a light coat of added finish. Butt plate retains 50-60% orig blue with flaking & minor surface oxidation. Forend is sound with a few minor bruises & retains most of a light coat of added finish with minor wear across the bottom. Mechanics are crisp with a shiny bore. 4-35581 BDT266 (2,500-3,500)
