*WINCHESTER LOW WALL WITH BRITISH PROOFS & SWISS BUTT PLATE. SN 100138. Cal. 22 long rifle. No. 1 weight. 24-1/2″ rnd bbl, globe front sight, sporting rear with set screw, coarse knurled post tang-mounted peep. Left side of bbl, receiver & breechblock are stamped with British proofmarks. Mounted with straight grain walnut, uncheckered straight grip with nickel Swiss butt plate, Schnable forend with ebony tip insert. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains 85-90% orig blue with some discoloration at muzzle & front sight, a few minor nicks & scratches & some minor scattered fine surface oxidation. Receiver retains 75-80% orig blue, a few nicks & scratches, thinning across top, bottom & sharp edges, blending with silver & brown patina. Stock is sound with some minor scratches & dents, darkening on left side along receiver; retains orig varnish blended with hand-worn patina in grip area. Butt plate retains most of its nickel. Forend is sound, with 2 tiny holes on bottom near receiver, a few minor dents & scratches, retaining dark hand-worn patina.
