*PRE-WAR COLT ACE SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. SN 1117. Fine early commercial pistol with blue finish and adjustable rear sight. It has full-checkered wood grips and an original all blue pre-war magazine. It has checkered trigger and a checkered arched spring housing. It is accompanied by an original dark maroon hinged lid Ace box with dark blue and white end label, unfortunately numbered to another gun. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains 95-96% glossy bright original factory blue on the sides, and virtually all of its frosted finish on the edges of the frame and top of the slide. Grips show light diamond point wear, heavier on the right side with a few chipped diamonds. Mechanics are fine with brilliant shiny bore. Box has three broken corners and worn edges with some mildew and soil and some minor loose paper covering on the top. Label is mostly intact. 4-53054 JR627 (1,250-1,750)
