LOT OF TWO EARLY EUROPEAN BOLT ACTION MILITARY RIFLES. 1) French Model 1874 dated 1881. Cal. 11mm with 32” tapered round bbl, standard sights, 2 bbl bands, saber bayonet lug at the muzzle, 1-pc walnut stock with smooth steel buttplate. SN 70203. CONDITION: Mismatched, refinished, heavy coat of fireplace soot and smoke. Forearm is missing a long splinter on left side with most of an old refinish. Strong dark bore. 2) Vetterli dated 1891. Cal. 11mm with 34” tapered round bbl, usual sights with box magazine. SN AK4367. CONDITION: Broken stock, refinished wood, pitting along the bbl channel, heavy coating of fireplace soot and smoke.
