HURET FASHION LADY. This gorgeous doll is of the the earliest of the Eliza Prevost period and marks the transition between the wood and gutta percha. Head is impressed “HURET 2″ with all molded and painted features. Especially appealing is the eye decoration which shows very long eyelashes, two tone painted eyes, feathered eyebrows and deep shadowing around the eye corners and upper cheeks. She is on a fully articulated wood and Gutta Percha body with narrow waist and straight wrists, and has been elaborately costumed in a teal blue ruffled satin dress with a brown and beige plaid jacket coming to the knees. She is wearing a blond human hair wig with wide brim straw hat with feathers and silk ribbon bows, and ankle length brown leather fashion boots. SIZE: 19” (48cm). CONDITION: Very good, minor paint wear in places to the body.
