COLT BISLEY SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). SN 190460. Usual configuration with 5-1/2″ bbl, original front sight, marked on the left side “(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F.” The left side of the frame has 2-line patent address with rampant Colt in a circle. It has rampant Colt hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Fine to very fine, the bbl retains about 90% strong bright original blue with a series of small nicks on the left side at the muzzle that have been smoothed and artificially aged. The ejector rod housing retains about 65-70% bright original blue with the outer edge a plum brown patina. The frame retains 75-80% thin original case colors, stronger in the sheltered areas. The grip frame retains 25-30% blue, gray on the front & back straps. The replacement grips have a chip on the right side and some light battering on the bottom and show heavy wear. The hammer will not hold at full cock and the timing needs adjusting. Strong bore with fine orange peel roughness. 4-53481 JR878 (2,000-3,000)
