*SPRINGFIELD ARMORY MODEL 1903 MARK 1. Cal. 30-06. SN 1182857. This is a nice example of a complete Mark 1 Springfield with Pedersen Device, magazine, mag pouch, and ammo. Gun is in very good external shape showing all the correct features for what it is with the exception of a replacement stock. Pedersen device and also comes with 1 magazine, 1 box of ammo and 1 magazine pouch dated “RIA 7-19”. CONDITION: Receiver retains 98% refinish with some very minor pitting underneath. “5-20” dated bbl shows also 98% of a refinish with a well-used bore that should clean to good. Bands appear to be orig dark parkerized finish, with the front one retaining approx. 60% finish and the middle one retaining 90% finish, but with a small dent in the right hand side. Buttstock is a Rock Island 2 bolt that has been expertly modified for the ejection port of the Pedersen device, with a cartouche on the left hand side of “OEL” over “1919” with letter “Q” outside the box. Stock also has a script proof mark on the wrist. Stock is good condition with numerous minor to moderate dings to scuffs throughout, the most significant being between the 2 stock bolts on the right hand side. It also bears the painted rack number “106” on the right side of the butt. Hand guard is a WWII replacement and in good condition with minor dings throughout. Trigger guard and floorplate assembly appear to be in very good orig dull black finish. Buttplate retains approx. 50% blue. Pedersen device appears to be restored to near new condition but under glass shows fine pitting under the finish. Magazine is orig and in fine condition as is the mag pouch. Full box of 40 bullets, cal. 30, dated “1918” is in fine condition with no damage at all to it. 4-58357 BK33 (10,000-20,000)
