*PRE-WAR COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL SUPER 38 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 38 Super. SN 4588. Usual configuration, 5” bbl, fixed sights, long wide hammer spur and long grip safety with checkered arched spring housing, full-checkered walnut grips and a 2-tone magazine marked on the floorplate. Accompanied by an original, unnumbered dark maroon hinged lid box with blue and white end label that contains an original instruction pamphlet. CONDITION: Fine. Retains 92-93% strong bright original blue overall with moderate muzzle and edge wear with a few light scratches on the slide and slightly thinned front strap. Grips are fine showing moderate wear with a small gouge on the left side. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. Box is very fine with one blown front corner and one blown rear corner. A few chips on the edges with fuzzed corners, otherwise the box is great. 4-53157 JR554 (1,250-1,750)
