CARVED PREENING EIDER DECOY BY GRAYSON CHESSER. This wonderful stylistic Eider decoy with turned preening head features carved eyes and relief wings. It is carved in a highly stylistic manner, which Chesser has become known for. Grayson, a master carver recognized throughout North America and throughout the world has authored a book on carving, been featured on various television programs and his carvings are included in many of the foremost collections throughout North America. A raconteur extraordinaire, his works are very popular. This carving in original paint bears his carved “C” in the bottom. CONDITION: Generally very good.
