*LOT OF TWO MODEL 1911 SEMI-AUTO MILITARY PISTOLS. Cal. 45 ACP. Consignor states that he purchased these two pistols with the Springfield slide on the Colt frame and the Colt slide on the Springfield frame. 1) Springfield Armory. SN 103585. 1914 production, second contract with 5” bbl, Springfield large diamond checkered walnut grips with usual Springfield markings having an eagle on right side of slide, a flaming bomb at left rear of slide and another above the magazine release. It has short spur hammer and short spur grip safety. Slide is orig blue, while frame is a reworked parkerizing. CONDITION: As noted, fine. Slide retains 80-85% fine military style blue finish and the frame, most of its parkerized finish with some fine pitting on front strap. Grips are sound and show moderate to heavy wear. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore. 2) Colt. SN 200208. 1917 production with 5” bbl having “PH” inspector initials. Slide has a parkerized finish with fixed sights and frame has military blue finish with the Gilbert H. Stewart inspector stamp. Mounted with diamond checkered, walnut grips & magazine is missing. It has long spur hammer & long spur grip safety. CONDITION: As noted, very good. Slide retains 96-97% parkerized finish and the frame about 95% early military style blue finish with thinning front strap and gray spring housing. Grips are sound showing moderate to heavy wear with a gouge on left side. Mechanics are fine, strong bore with moderate pitting. 4-30691 JR380 (2,000-3,000)
