NEWTON BOWIE KNIFE. 6-3/4″ clip point blade marked “JOHN / NEWTON & Co / SHEFFIELD / ENGLAND” on the left ricasso with a frog trademark on the right. The brown leather sheath has German silver throat and tip. Stag scales, German silver cross guard. CONDITION: The spine of the blade is badly battered. The edge is well worn with many sharpenings. The scabbard is fine with light scratching on the leather. The tang has spots of light rust overall. The left scale has a partial crack, otherwise fine. Ciak Collection 4-53245 FS434 (400-600)
