*OUTSTANDING MARLIN NO. 20 DELUXE TROMBONE ACTION RIFLE. SN 3543. Cal .22 S,L,LR. Oct 23″ bbl with ivory bead front sight and Lyman folding leaf rear sight. Bbl marked on top flat “Marlin Firearms Co. NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A./PAT’D AUG. 12. 1890. MAR. 1. ’92. JUNE 8. ’97. NOV. 23. 1904.” Latch type half length tubular mag. Standard takedown blued receiver, tang marked “Marlin/No 20”. Straight grip stock and deluxe forend of highly figured American walnut with No. B deluxe checkering. High luster finish stock with S-shaped steel buttplate. Deluxe model 20’s are extremely rare and seldom seen. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl has 95% blue with light edge wear and handling. Mag tube has very good blue, silvering from pump action operation. Receiver has bright blue, light edge wear, with minor scratches and spotting. Stock and forend are sound having exceptional high gloss finish with normal handling marks. Crisp mechanics and a very good bright bore. 4-40434 DS41 (1,500-2,500)
