*OUTSTANDING MARLIN MODEL’94 TAKEDOWN RIFLE. SN 397810. Cal .25-20 M. Part rnd 24″ bbl with German silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight, top flat of bbl is marked “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT.U.S.A./PATENTED.OCT.11,1887.APRIL 2,1889.AUGUST 1,1893. 2/3 length magazine.” Case colored takedown receiver is drilled and tapped, medium length locking cam. Top tang is marked “Marlin/MODEL’94” Forend and straight grip stock S-shaped steel buttplate of straight grained American walnut. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Fine. 98% bbl blue w/ very light edge wear and handling marks. Very good mag tube blue mixing with small areas of patina. Receiver has 95% vivid case colors. Lever has vivid case colors on the sides blending with patina on the bottom. sound stock and forend with very good finish and handling marks some on left side are heavy.
