SCHOENHUT “WUNDERBLITZ” HORSE. Obscure, elephantine, desirable, alluring are just a few of the words that describe this magnificent Schoenhut horse. Painted in the same fashion as the dappled gray circus horse, this one is complete with saddle and a wheeled platform base for a young child to ride on. Adding to this horse’s charm are his glass eyes, stirrups for the young child’s feet, an open mouth with simulated teeth and his original horse hair mane. All original paint showing some overall minor wear to paint most noticeable at edges of platform or high spots on horse. SIZE: 2′ w x 9-1/2″ d x 27″ h. CONDITION: Lacking horse hair tail, replaced leather ears, minor chip to wood where neck meets torso. 1-8360 JL (5,000-10,000)
