OVERSIZED PRATT & LETCHWORTH PASSENGER TRAIN. Believed to be the largest cast iron toy train ever made, one wonders how a child could have ever have played with such an elephantine toy! Truly a phenomenal casting effort, considering that the passenger car alone is 20″ long! A finely detailed train, especially the passenger cars that have incredible pinstriping and are stenciled, “NEWYORK CENTRAL AND HUDSON RIVER R.R., VANDERBILT”. The combination baggage/passenger car is also rubberstamped “NEW YORK CENTRAL AND HUDSON RIVER R.R., WAGNER BUFFET VESTIBULE”. The engine is stenciled “999” and the coal tender is rubberstamped “N.Y.C. & H.R.R.R.” and “999” on rear. SIZE: 60″ l (overall). CONDITION: Overall very good. JL 1-4009 (700-900)
