*MARLIN MODEL 94 TAKEDOWN LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 412994. Cal .25-20 M. Rnd 24″ bbl with Sheard front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Bbl marked “Marlin Firearms Co. NEW-HAVEN, CT. u.s.a./PAT’D OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2, 1889. AUG. 1, 1893” Full length mag. Case colored take down receiver with medium-length locking cam. Top tang is marked “Marlin/MODEL’94”. Standard straight grip rifle stock and rifle forend of straight grained American walnut with steel S-shaped buttplate. Added checkering in the style of Marlin No. B checkering. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Very good over all. Very good bbl and mag blue mixing with patina. Receiver has strong case colors blending with patina. Sound stock and forend, good finish with normal wear and handling marks. Crisp mechanics, bore has strong rifling and some darkening in the grooves. 4-40418 DS40 (2,000-3,000)
