*MARLIN MODEL 94 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 447669. Cal. 25-20M. 24″ rnd bbl with German silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Bbl marking is “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO., NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PAT’D OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUG. 1. 1893.”. Standard case colored receiver with top tang marked “Marlin/Model ’94”. Straight grip rifle stock and rifle forend of straight grain American walnut with 2nd type crescent steel buttplate. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection.Pictured on pp.100-101, 20th Ed. Blue Book of Gun Values, for condition grading. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl and mag tube have 95% blue with light wear near the muzzle. Receiver has vivid case colors, has very good case colors on side blending with patina and minor surface corrosion on the bottom. Buttplate has very good blue with small spots of patina. Stock and forend is sound with crazed finish and normal handling marks. Mechanics are crisp with bright shiny bore. 4-40395 DS47 (1,500-2,500)
