Set consists of eleven 9-1/4” reticulated edged plates; Two 10” square serving trays and two 5-1/2” h x 8” dia. reticulated edged compotes. Square decorated scenic panels on each piece are identified on the back of each piece. Panels are set on a deep blue background with extensive gold decoration. Blue beehive mark to base. The scenes are as follows: Apollo & Leukothea; Europe’s Entfuhrung; Jupiter & Juno; Amors Erziehung; Vertumnus & Pomona; Geburt d. Adonis; Perseus & Andromede; Dejanira; Orpheus; Jo & Jupiter; Venus & Adonis; Venus; Mars & Venus; Orythia & Boreas; and “Raub d. Hyppodamia”. PROVENANCE: Fine Bangor, Maine mansion.
