Each housed in a gilt period frame with replaced off-white mattes. 1) Summer scene shows livestock in small watering hole with family resting under a tree under a colorful blue to gold sky. Signed and dated “1867”. 2) Scene shows a blacksmith shop in a connected building with large tree. A group of people have gathered outside, one shoeing a horse, another horse has been led to a watering keg with a wheelwright and children. Chickens feeding in the foreground. Signed lower left and dated “1864”. 3) Scene shows a small shepherd boy sleeping with some sheep while the shepherd’s dog barks loudly at a storm coming. Signed lower left and dated “1862”. 4) Scene shows an older shepherd with flock leading back to a house under colorful sky. Signed lower right and dated “1863”. 5) Scene shows a dirt road leading to a gate with large birdhouse. A flock of chickens in foreground while a cat hides behind a stone wall. Signed lower left and dated “1867”. 6) Spring scene shows two children looking out over some goats with a wood fence, gate, and dirt road. Signed lower left and dated “1864”.
