LARGE CLOSED MOUTH GERMAN CHILD DOLL. Simply incised “18”, this doll attributed to Kestner. She has a large oval shaped face with brown glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with white space between the lips, on an early heavy German body with straight wrists. She is dressed in an antique sleeveless white cotton eyelet dress, antique underwear and antique black leather slippers with buckles. She wears a brown human hair wig and a newer brown floor length coat, and an antique bronze silk hat with faux fur trimmed hat. SIZE: 30-1/2″ (77cm). CONDITION: Bisque head excellent, body finish original except for some repaint to arms and hands. 1-7750 (3,000-4,000)
