*SPECIAL ORDER MARLIN MODEL 1894 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 216663. Cal. 25-20M. Special Order 28″ length 1/2 rnd bbl with German silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Bbl marked on top flat “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED, OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL 2, 1889. AUGUST 1 1893.”. Full length mag, standard case colored receiver with top marked “MARLIN SAFETY”, top tang marked “Model/1894”. Straight grip rifle stock, rifle forend of American walnut with first type crescent steel buttplate. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl and mag tube retain 95% blue with light edge wear. Receiver retains 90% vivid case colors fading to patina on bottom part of lever. Buttplate has very good case colors.
